Information
Product description
Heat-resistant silicone sealant for bonding and sealing joints that are
exposed to high temperatures. Heat resistance: max. 300°C
Area of application
Suitable for bonding and sealing joints, seams and cracks where a
high heat resistance is required. Adheres very well to glass, enamel, tiles
glazed ceramics and smooth metals. Especially suitable for
bonding and sealing of oven and microwave panes, edges around
(ceramic) hobs, heat discharges, flues, heat shields
for fireplaces (also suitable as liquid gasket for automotive
applications).
Properties
- Heat resistant after complete curing up to 250°C and short-term (approx. 1 hour)
up to 300°C maximum
- Easily processable
- Colour of sealant: black
- Acetic acid splitting sealant
- Colourfast
- Sealant may expand in contact with grease, oil, coolant or fuels.
Preparation
Processing conditions: Process only at temperatures
between +5°C and +40°C.
Surface requirements: Make joints clean, dry, dust-, rust- and grease-free.
Preliminary treatment of absorbent substrates and plastics with Bison Silicone Primer.
Silicone Primer.
Pre-treatment surfaces: For a nice result, apply painter's tape
along the edges of the joint. If necessary, prevent three-surface adhesion
by applying filler foam or PE foil in the joint.
Tools: Bison Multi Tool
Processing
Consumption: 1 tube for approx. 1.5 metres (depending on joint diameter).
Instructions for use:
Unscrew the cap from the tube. Cut off plastic cannula at an angle. Spray the sealant evenly
and slowly into the joint. Immediately smooth out with Bison Multi Tool or
finger and soapy water. For gluing, join the parts to be glued within 5 minutes.
join them together. A surface skin will form after approx. 15 minutes. Bison High
Temp reaches high heat resistance after complete curing. The curing
can be accelerated by heating the sealant to a maximum of 150°C.
Stains/Residue: Remove stains immediately with white spirit. Cured sealant can
can only be removed mechanically.
Points of attention: Silicone hardens under the influence of air humidity.
Therefore contact with air humidity during curing is essential.
is essential.
Drying times*
Skin-forming time: approx. 10 minutes
Curing time: approx. 2 mm/24 hours
* Drying times may vary depending on, among other things, substrate, applied quantity of product,
moisture content and ambient temperature.
Storage conditions
Minimum 24 months after production. Opened packaging has limited shelf life.
shelf life. Store in tightly closed packaging in a dry place at a
temperature between +5°C and +25°C.
Warranty
Only for manufacturing defects.
