Information
Product description
Super strong, gel-like, universal contact adhesive: easily spreadable, does not drip and does not pull threads.
Field of application
Extremely suitable for bonding plastic sheeting (such as Formica®), veneer, board, plastic edging, rubber, leather, linoleum, cork, textile
or polyether foam both among themselves and on wood, chipboard, concrete and
metal. This adhesive does not drip and is therefore extremely suitable for vertical bonding. Very suitable for e.g. bonding stair edges, carpeting on stairs, caps or felts under furniture. Also for repairs on e.g. shoes, bags, toys, carpets, or when making (hobby) handicrafts. Not suitable for polystyrene foam (Tempex®, Styrofoam), PE, PP and vinyl.
Properties
- Easily spreadable
- Does not drip
- Does not pull threads
- Instantly adheres
- Super strong
- Suitable for materials under tension
- Universal
- Moisture and frost resistant
Preparation
Processing conditions: Process adhesive and parts to be bonded at room temperature. Relative humidity should be lower than 65%. This is to prevent blistering of the end result. After bonding, correction is no longer possible. Always test first on an (inconspicuous) part of the substrate.
requirements surfaces: Surfaces must be dry, clean, dust-, grease-free and well-fitting. Clean and degrease the surfaces to be bonded for optimum results.
Pretreatment surfaces: For optimum results, degrease first.
Tools: Solid brush or fine-toothed (1 mm) glue comb for spreading large surfaces. Pressure roller or rubber hammer for firmly joining the materials.
Processing
Consumption: 2-2.5 m2/litre, applied on both sides, depending on the nature of the materials to be bonded.
Instructions for use:
Stir well before use. Preferably do not dilute Apply adhesive thinly and evenly to both surfaces using fine-toothed notched trowel (1 mm) or brush. Allow both parts to dry for 10 to 25 minutes. As soon as the adhesive no longer pulls threads together. No further correction is possible. Avoid inclusion of air bubbles. Firmly tap, roll or press the materials.
Stains/Residue: Remove wet adhesive residues immediately with Degreaser/Thinner for Bison Kit®. Dried adhesive residues can only be removed mechanically or with a paint stripper (test beforehand).
Points of attention: For optimal results, both the adhesive and the parts to be bonded must be at room temperature (certainly do not process below +10°C). The final strength of the bond depends on the applied pressure. Therefore, apply as much pressure as possible over the entire surface. If the adhesive bond with porous materials comes into prolonged contact with water, the adhesive may detach from the wet substrate.
Storage conditions
At least 24 months after production. Opened packaging has a limited
shelf life. Store tightly closed in a dry, cool and frost-free place.
Warranty
Only for manufacturing defects.
