[BLOG] The 5 biggest annoyances of painters
Painting is a wonderful profession. Fresh walls, cool decorations and special creations: whatever you do, it is satisfying. Yet painters also sometimes encounter annoying things that cost time and often money. We asked several painters to list their biggest work irritations. Curious?
These are the 5 biggest annoyances of painters:
1. Paint runs under the tape
Drives you crazy, this annoyance! You have just painted a piece and it turns out that paint has run underneath the tape. Consequences: no tight paint strip, touch-ups and a less-than-tight end result. Something you want to avoid at all costs!
2. Glue residue
If there is anything you don't want, it is glue residue. Many tapes stick well, too well... and leave adhesive residue when removed. This in turn takes time to clean. A shame!
3. Tape tears whenremoving
Another one. You start removing the tape and see that no paint has gotten under it and no glue residue remains. Great! Only then the tape tears. And again.... And again... What a misery!
4. Tape leaves the substrate prematurely
You've just finished painting and the tape comes off... Very annoying, because then you have to re-tape. Not practical!
5. Damaged substrate
If the condition of the substrate is not optimal, damage can occur when using the wrong tape. A tape that adheres too strongly can take the substrate with it when removed, such as (fresh) paint and wallpaper. No one wants that!
The right tape ensures that all these annoyances of painters do not occur.
Avoid the aforementioned situations and tape your paintwork with Deltec's Masking Tapes!
