Dynaplus Uni screws with Anti-Corrosion coating have been developed for optimal screwdriving convenience and are the ideal external screw.
They are made of hardened steel, making them up to two(!) times stronger than stainless steel screws. No more problems with screws breaking while driving in! The dark-grey AR coating is highly corrosion-resistant and has the highest corrosivity class; C4. The organic coating has very good adhesion and is composed of three thin layers on top of the electrolytic zinc layer. Does the coating get slightly damaged during screwing in? No problem; the coating can repair minor damage itself, allowing the AR coating to provide permanent corrosion protection to the screw. The AR coating also has excellent chemical and acid resistance. The screws can therefore also be used in wood species with high tannic acid content, such as Red Cedar, Douglas fir or oak.
Just like Dynaplus' galvanised uni screws, the AR-coated external screws also feature a perfectly shaped starting thread, lubricant, the special drill point with cross-sections and serrations and a coarse pitch. Specifications that ensure fast and easy screwing in with remarkably low screw-in resistance and, in most cases, without pre-drilling. The so-called "wokkel" on the shank of the partial-thread screws improves the tightening effect of two pieces of wood: for making a strong joint. The extra-deep TX drive provides plenty of grip and makes screwing in easy.
The screws are made of hardened carbon steel and, thanks to a sophisticated hardening process, are not only super-strong but also very bendable. This minimises the risk of breaking; both during screwing in and afterwards, when the screws are processed and the wood starts to work.
