Information
Kraken Tape is ideal for repairs on the road. But it is also an ideal tape for other applications. Due to the silicone action of the tape, it leaves no adhesive residue. Kraken is suitable for use in all situations where a strong, high-temperature (260° C), permanent, resilient, insulating, or sealing joint is required. When applied correctly, Kraken tape gives moisture-free and permanent protection around pipes, tubes, cable joints and connectors. Kraken tape gives an effective and cost-saving solution to common problems and when used during extreme conditions.

Use
Important: isolate the power / liquid supply before use. remove as much dirt / liquid as possible from the surface to which the tape is to be applied. read the instructions fully before each application. do not use on gas lines of any kind.
1. Cut the tape to the desired size and remove the transparent film. For ease of use, we recommend using a number of individual strips of less than 2 cm (larger/wider repairs may require more), overlapping each layer according to the instructions below.
2. apply one end of Kraken tape to the surface. Holding the tape under tension (about twice its natural length), wrap kraken tape over and around the damaged area, overlapping the previous layer by about 50%, covering 4-5 cm on either side of the repair (demanding applications may require more). the tighter the stretch, the stronger the seal!
3. we recommend repeating the above with 3-5 layers, some applications may require more, cracking tape will begin to melt immediately, but we recommend waiting 24 hours for full strength to develop.
