So all these brands do have one thing in common, the colours. The different colours of painter's tape are not just there for fun, but also to indicate what this tape is good for.
- Standard Crepe painter's tape is the White/Cream-coloured tape. This is almost universally applicable, but unfortunately has the property if you leave it on for a long time, it is almost impossible to remove. Our tip: Remove immediately after painting
- Gold Tape's is the Gold/yellow colour tape. Suitable for both indoor and outdoor use. And has the fine feature of leaving on sharp edges. You can leave this tape in place indoors for up to 6 months and outdoors for up to 3 months. We actually always recommend removing painter's tapes as soon as possible for the best results.
- Purple Tape's is the Purple variant tape. This Tape is made for vulnerable indoor surfaces, such as wallpaper or freshly painted surfaces. This Purple varriant has a weak adhesive layer, making removal of the tape very easy. This Purple painter's tape is only suitable for indoors and can be left in place for up to about 8 weeks. But again our advice, remove the tape after painting.
- Blue Tape's is the blue painter's tape. This tape is UV-resistant which means it can be used outdoors. The tape has a strong adhesive layer and can therefore also be stuck on highly weathered surfaces. This blue painter's tape can remain outdoors for about 3 months. But our advice is still to remove the tape after painting for the best result.
- Frog Tape the Green Clean Lines tape. You probably know this tape. This tape features Paintblock technology, which prevents paint from running under the tape for extra tight lines. Nice if you want to paint 2 colour shades on your wall. Frog Tape is also available for sensitive surfaces, this tape is then Yellow in colour. Note: frog tape only works well with water-based paint!
