How much stretch film do I need to wrap a pallet?

There are various types of pallets, but in our example we assume a Europallet (EPAL) these pallets have a size of 80cm x 120cm. We recommend wrapping 3 layers with an overlap of about 20cm. The height of our example pallet is 150cm. Then to wrap this pallet, you will need about 4 metres of film per round. If you keep the 20cm overlap, you would have wrapped the entire pallet with 1 layer of film in 5 rounds. We will divide this number by 3 rounds / layers and arrive at a total of about 60 metres of stretch film per europallet.

Most rolls of stretch film have a length of 300 metres of film. That would mean you could wrap 5 pallets with 1 roll of stretch film.

How do I wrap a europallet with stretch film?

If you are going to wrap an EPAL pallet, it is best to attach the beginning of the film to one of the blocks under the pallet, wrap the pallet around it it is best to wrap about 3 layers with characters an overlap of about 20cm so that the goods remain well and firmly on the pallet. While wrapping, you can tighten the film well at each corner of the pallet, this is to get the film and materials tight on the pallet.
