Information
The TD47 Protection cases TSA 3 digit lock,
When you have purchased a TD47 Protection case, you have already chosen to be able to safely take all your belongings with you wherever you go. And then, of course, you don't want your suitcase to be emptied in an unguarded moment. Prevent theft with the TD47 TSA 3-digit lock.
With the supplied 120 cm long spiral cable, you can attach your case to various objects, such as a piece of Truss on a festival site, making it much more difficult to take your entire case. Thanks to the striking orange colour of the cable, everyone immediately notices that your suitcase is well secured!
Easy to use, with user manual to set your own code!
What is a TSA lock?
TSA stands for Transport Security Administration, a security agency established by and in the United States. The Transport Security Administration was set up after the 9/11 events to provide 'extra' security at airports and air traffic.
A TSA lock has a special TSA logo (Red with white square on its side.) so that the security authorities immediately recognise the suitcase and can open it with a special runner without damaging the suitcase. So with a TSA lock, you avoid seeing your suitcase damaged on the baggage belt.
When travelling to America, we advise you to use a TSA lock. The US authorities will want to look inside your suitcase at all times.
Who has a TSA key?
Every TSA agent has a TSA key,
with this they can cleanly open any suitcase with TSA without having to break it open.
How can I set my TSA lock?
- Make sure the lock is accurately set to code 000 (or 0000).
- Press the button so that the lock pops open.
- Press and hold the pin on the TSA lock with a pen or paperclip.
- While holding down the pin, select the desired number combination for your TSA lock.
- After setting the code, release the pin again. The new code is now set.
- Write down the new code you have just set for your combination lock. Store the code wherever you can find it again, for example in your phone or with the rest of your travel documents.
Please note that setting the TSA lock can vary from one type of combination lock to another.
All our TSA locks come with instructions on how to change the code.
